The one thing the Daisychain does have is incredible support from Hampshire Police. I have been told that if we were charged for their work for the day, it would cost over £4000. Many of the motorcycle officers love the event, as it makes a difference from their day to day work.

Over the years I have worked with many of them, including Tony Hill and Phil Pentalow, who gave up their time to train up all the marshals.
Others that have drawn the Daisychain gauntlet include..

Jans Bernnet, Roger Timmons (who was never the same again after he arrested Bruce the parrot), Duncan Weston (who was just never the same after having to deal with Gilly) Roy Skecther (who retired the day after the run) and Alan Peacock (who has moved out of the area). There seems to be a pattern forming there.

But to be honest, without this support the run would not be able to go ahead. I would like to thank them all.
