Daisy Chain Run 2003 - "In For a Penny, In For a Pound"

Yes, we must be mad...

The Date for the next DaisyChain Run has been set. Sunday 11th May 2003 will see the 12th run. The title for this run will be "In For A Penny, In For A Pound".

Yes, we know that's not a film title, not even an obscure satellite channel programme. It's just a gentle reminder that it is hoped that everyone who takes part will donate at least a pound.

Due to the huge numbers that take part each year, it proves impossible for everyone to be asked for a donation when they arrive. In 2003 we will set out a huge amount of collecting buckets at the beginning and the end, where people can chuck in all their loose change.

Also as requested this year, you will be able to set up a direct debit direct into either the WCT or the Daisychain Run accounts.

Totton Parish Council has asked us to continue starting the event there. The Daisychain Run is better supported by the general public than the towns carnival, and we're sure you all get just as much of a kick out of seeing all the people lining the route as we do.

Fawley Parish Council have also offered their support again, and we would like to take them up on it. We will only do this if we have a guarantee that the catering we receive is what we want.

Help will be needed for DaisyChain Run 2003, so if you:

• Want to help on the day, marshaling, collecting money, or selling raffle tickets
• Work for a bike dealer and want to set up a trade stand
• Have your own company that wants stand space
• Play in a band that is prepared to play for free!!
  or you have a unique stage act (remembering this is a family event!!!)
